OUDTSHOORN

Oudtshoorn has +- 335 days a year sunny skies without rain. The summers are warm deep in the 30 degrees without any wind which makes it a perfect place for out door activities. The winters can become cold (0 degrees), but the days are lovely.

George is a mear 55 km away with all the amnimnities of a big city. Mosselbay is about 70km away with beautifull beaches, camping spots, harbour and more.

Inland there is the beautifull Baviaanskloof nature reserve, the picturess Prins Albert, the high Swartberg Pass to "die hel" and then onwards to Beaufort West Nature reserve. All beautifull places to go visit while staying in Oudtshoorn. The more than 109 B&B's and other accomodation is readily abvailable and prices from good to laxurious.

The people are ALL friendly and one can still leave one's keys in the car if you need to run into the shops. This is truly heaven. I have stayed here from 2008 and there is no place I would rather be. No traffic, nice people and neighbours, friendly atmosphere. Well worth the visit.

Activities ranges from bird watching, cango wildlive rance, hundreds of km's of gravel roads to explore, wilgerwandel family farm, ostrage farms, game lodges, fauna, 4x4 trails, horse riding, waterfalls, meiringspoort, donkey trails, decent restourants only to name a few. .................................................................................
